# Sustainability Strategy

The Phellas are here to stay! We will ensure that Phellas Get Togethers will continue for years to come with a few key strategies.

### Initial Funding

The roadmap items in this project will be initially funded by the mint funds. The community wallet for IRL activities will be seeded with 20% of the mint sales. Thereafter, the project will be self-sustaining based on the proposed revenue generation strategy.

### Royalties

Part of the rationale behind creating the Phellas travel membership as an NFT is to help sustain the project by using royalties. With a traditional membership, the members would have to periodically pay a fee to maintain their membership. They would also have nothing to gain once they cancel, said membership. Phellas will operate differently, members won't have to pay a recurring fee, and if they want to "cancel" they can sell their NFT on a secondary marketplace. Secondary sales of NFTs allow the creators to collect a royalty percentage on each sale. In the case of Phellas, 25% of the royalties on secondary sales will be added to the community wallet to continue to host events!

### Merchandise Sales

We will release a line of Phellas branded merchandise that can be purchased by both holders and non-holders. Exclusive merch will be available to only holders that attend events. All the proceeds from Phellas merch sales will be added to the community wallet.

### Tokenomics

As stated in our roadmap, we will implement a Phellas Metaverse for our community. The Phellas Metaverse will facilitate a tokenomics system that will benefit the community events as well. Once the Phellas metaverse tokenomics are launched, a percentage of transaction fees from the token will go toward the community wallet.
